Dexter Season 5: it's a blood bath!

Season 4's cliffhanger was truly shocking, and if you haven't watched it yet then best avert your gaze.

Now.

It's a tricky thing to keep a series going, and going (and going), but we think fans are going to be delighted, with the writers this season leveraging Rita's death to explore uncharted aspects of Dexter's personality. Can he manage grief? Emotion? And what about the children?

It's still slashingly good TV with guest cast such as Julia Stiles, Jonny Lee Miller, Peter Weller and Australian Chris Vance providing this season's fresh blood.

Andrew asks Erin McWhirter (TV Week) and Richard Clune (The Sunday Telegraph) what they're loving most about Dexter season 5.

Alan Coleman, small screen legend

Way back in 1974, Alan Coleman was lured to Australia by Reg Grundy to head up Grundy's fledgling TV drama department. It was there that the writer, producer and director ended up in the driver's seat on such iconic Aussie series as The Young Doctors, Class of 74, Class of 75, Glenview HighPrisoner and the ill fated male prison series Punishment.

Now, with over 50 years of tele tales to tell, Coleman has published an autobiography - "One Door Shuts" and we were delighted that he was able to drop by.
