If a cow dies in Indonesia and no-one's there to see it ...

Thank goodness for investigative journalism. Thank Aunty for Four Corners.

In an ocean of news and current affairs mediocrity, Four Corners shines like a beacon. Now in its 50th year it's a show that always packs a punch, regularly responsible for initiating public debate and political inquiry.

The recent airing of an episode about the maltreatment of Australian cattle in Indonesian abattoirs resulted in a total ban of live cattle exports to that country. An impressive result for an hour of air time.

So what's it like to be the journalist behind the TV report that re-writes political agenda? Andrew talks with 4 Corners reporter, Sarah Ferguson and WSFM's Brendan Jones to find out.

Curtains for Spicks and Specks

For the past seven years, Spicks and Specks (ABC) has consistently surfed the ratings crest, reeling in awards and critical accolades along the way. It's a show that genuinely works with a panel of hosts who appear to be actually having fun, so why call it a day?

Andrew talks with music buffs, DJ Kate Monroe and TV Week's Pete Timbs about the merits of going out on a high.
