Curtains for Spicks and Specks

For the past seven years, Spicks and Specks (ABC) has consistently surfed the ratings crest, reeling in awards and critical accolades along the way. It's a show that genuinely works with a panel of hosts who appear to be actually having fun, so why call it a day?

Andrew talks with music buffs, DJ Kate Monroe and TV Week's Pete Timbs about the merits of going out on a high.

The Pillars of the Earth

British history buffs be warned, you are going to SWOON over this 8 hour mini-series based on the best-selling novel by Ken Follett.

It's a feudal feast, packed to its 12th Century cloisters with evil monks, scheming courtiers, unwashed peasants, a saucy witch, incest, vanity, sex and masochism. Low brow? Hell no. This is drama with strong foundations, produced by Ridley Scott (Sir Ridley Scott) and starring the likes of Ian McShane, Matthew Macfadyen, Donald Sutherland and Rufus Sewell.

Andrew asks Diamond Road Management's Paula McGrath, and writer/ actor Roger Ward if they like what they see.
