For the past seven years, Spicks and Specks (ABC) has consistently surfed the ratings crest, reeling in awards and critical accolades along the way. It's a show that genuinely works with a panel of hosts who appear to be actually having fun, so why call it a day?

Somewhere over the Rainbow

It used to be that gay and lesbian characters and story-lines on TV were at best tokenistic, at worst, well ... damned. But with mainstream series such as Glee showcasing young gay characters up front and centre it seems the tide has finally turned. But have we now gone too far? Is TV too gay?

In the spirit of the 2011 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, we thought it was time to call in the experts for some balanced analysis: Pineapple Dance Studio's dancing man, Mr Louie Spence, and drag superstar, Ms Courtney Act.
