Friday nights on ABC2 - wish you were here

Why isn't everyone watching Friday Night Lights and The Misfits? Both series are currently getting a run on ABC2, but despite loads of critical acclaim are failing to draw the crowds.

Friday Night Lights spun-off from the 2004 film of the same name and has consistently been a hit with fans and critics alike, taking out the award for Program of the Year at this year's Television Critics Association Awards. Australian audiences have struggled to keep track of it as it's bounced about between Subscription TV, TEN HD and now Friday nights (natch) on ABC2.

Snuggled up behind FNL at 9:30 on Friday nights is the 2nd season of British series Misfits - another series with a devoted fan and critic base, scoring the BAFTA TV award for Best Drama Series last year

We love that ABC2 is giving shows like these air-time, but can't understand why viewers aren't tuning in.

Trying to get to the bottom of it, Andrew chats with Eat Yourself Sexy presenter, Sarah Wilson and Tough Nuts producer, Bryan Cockerill.

The Renovators: the biggest one on the block

Masterchef aside (well it has almost finished), Australians seem to have an insatiable appetite right now for shows about home renovations. There's The Block and Top Design on Nine, Better Homes & Gardens on Seven, Grand Designs on The Lifestyle Channel and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on W. Now Ten have unleashed what they are claiming to be the biggest, most expensive home reno show ever - The Renovators

So does size matter? Andrew asks Lifestyle YOU's Sarah Wilson and Nat Geo's Jabba what they think.
