In a recent episode of  TV comedy Modern Family, gay dads Mitchell and Cameron dress their adopted baby Lily a la Diana Ross complete with "ghetto-fabulous-afro". The inevitable dancing that ensues results in baby Lily's head being accidentally slammed against the doorway. It's hilarious - in an OM(F)G what just happened kind of way - and plunges long, sharp knives into a couple of sacred cows. 

But there are still scenarios and subjects that are too sensitive for TV writers to take on.  Andrew talks TV PC with Emma Tom (The Australian) and Byron Cooke (Triple M).
